On Tuesday, December 9th, the French Club Buche De Noel meeting took place. The meeting received generally positive and yummy reviews. At the meeting, members of French Club tried a piece of traditional Buche De Noel cake and relaxed in the cafeteria.

French teacher and French Club coordinator Ms. Hubbard describes what the Buche de Noel cake really is, “Buche de Noel is a traditional dessert served in many French-speaking countries. It’s basically a sponge cake rolled and frosted to look like a Christmas yule log. The thing that makes it so unique and yummy is the marzipan/almond paste rolled into the layers of frosting.”

Mrs. Hubbard as well as the other coordinators found it best to introduce the significance of the cake to the French Club members.

The meeting itself was very fun and enjoyable according to French club member and freshman, Tiffany Presler.

Presler states, “I felt that the French Club meeting was really fun and that the cake was really tasty. The meeting was definitely worth attending. After my friend and I had checked in to show we signed up, we went in line and received the cake and ate it in the commons. I think I will attend future meetings because French Club itself is very energetic and gives off a happy aura.”
