THE MEDALLION HAS BEEN FOUND!
Story and clue explanations to come tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who looked this year!
Ten stand guard out
near the yard,
Look low where the base color changes.
Follow the map line.
Hurry to beat time
Where students exit
vehicles in stages.
Cheers we have here
To Eagan’s 35th year
And steps to be the best.
Search quite adroitly
Past former Wildcats rightly,
Bundle up to continue your quest.
Near stars and stripes
The prize, it lies
Chilling in its toasty keep.
Adhere to the rules
When one is in schools
And hope that you don’t hear a beep.
As we bid hello
To this week nouveau,
Search like Hercule Poirot
In sleuthing show
During Blast quite apropos.
A few steps toward Wisco
Will find you the disc, bro.
Welcome Winter Blast to the home of the Cats
Where state champs roam the halls on the scout.
Come find the treasure in six clues, a measure
The first of its kind and the last in a line, look out.
Winter Blast is next week but let’s get the fun started early. This hunt is the 18th annual medallion hunt. A small medallion with the logo above has been hidden somewhere on the EHS campus. Every school day between tomorrow and next Friday a new clue will be published here to guide you to the prize.
Last year, three seniors found the medallion in the trees by the MPR. Will you be the next winner?
The winners get a $50 catered lunch at school for themselves and friends. They also win a $100 gift card.
The medallion could be inside or outside of the school building. It can be anywhere inside or on the yellow line on this map.
It is in a place that is accessible when the building is open. It is not:
- the middle school
- in an office
- in a classroom
- in a bathroom (ewwww)
- in a lockerroom
- attached to a person
- in a desk waiting to be hidden on the last day
It could be in the library. It is in a place where you do not need to harm property to access it. For example, it is not:
- in a trash can
- in a ceiling tile
- behind a teacher’s posters
- in a light fixture
- on the building roof
- attached to the American flag outside (funny, but no)
Check this story link every morning at 6:55 am for a new clue starting tomorrow, January 23.
Each clue will become more specific so timing is important.
You can look before or after school.
Do not leave study hall, PAWS, lunch, or class to look for the medallion. Seriously. Don’t do it
Bring the medallion to the main office or bring it to room 116 for verification and to claim the prize.
An announcement will be made when the medallion is found.
