Medallion Update

The medallion HAS been found! More information to come.

Clue #6 – January 29

With ten guardin’, outside their protection.

Between the two and the three

Or eight and nine by Elphaba’s direction.

Two paces out from the cage be,

One pace for Glinda and one pace for she.

Look low in the snow for a silver projection.

Careful with its neighbors, an easy detection.

Clue #5 – January 28

Near diamonds ferrous

Opposite of polaris

In sight of the neighborhood.

The medallion now waits

Outside of the gates.

Like Wicked, made for good.

Clue #4 – January 27

As the Wildcat Spirit grows,

Faint horn sounds blow.

Winter Blast so aptly named.

The medallion awaits solo

Frozen, in sight of the windows.

Beach people inside are framed.

Clue #3 – January 26

Pink may go with green

Like the musical says,

But yet might water gleam

When one is among friends.

O Blast: Eighty grab vending.

Green with blue unbending.

Clue #2 – January 22

From the depths of the arctic chill,

The line of Wildcat spirit holds still.

Like Elphie, quite verdant,

The hunter, quite observant.

An arch, a post, and, perchance, a trill.

Clue #1 – January 21

Our winter weather has been Wicked,

But the great Winter Blast week joins the mix.

Wildcats, warm and cold, constantly committed

To school spirit and each other, stitched.

The prize awaits the sleuth quick-witted,

Closer to Elphaba than the good witch.

What is it?

The medallion hunt kicks off Winter Blast week celebrations. Every morning a new clue is released. The clues get more specific every day until the medallion is found.

Last year, two seniors rescued the medallion from the horseshoe by one of the visitor parking signs. The medallion has been hidden again just waiting for you to find it.

Both of last year’s winners have graduated so it’s time for a new supreme hunter to claim victory!

When was the medallion hidden?

Over winter break.

What am I looking for?
What am I looking for?

A transparent, roughly two-inch disc with the medallion logo on one side and another distinguishing feature on the other side. Details of that not shared to prevent copycat medallions.

What do I win for finding the medallion?

The winner(s) get a $50 catered lunch at school for themselves and friends. They also win a $100 gift card.

Where can I look?
Where can I look?

The medallion could be inside or outside of the school building. It can be anywhere inside or on the yellow line on this map.

It is in a place that is accessible when the building is open. It is not:

  • the middle school
  • in an office
  • in a classroom
  • in a bathroom (ewwww)
  • in a lockerroom
  • attached to a person
  •  in a desk waiting to be hidden on the last day

It could be in the library. It is in a place where you do not need to harm property to access it. For example, it is not:

  • in a trash can
  • in a ceiling tile
  • behind a teacher’s posters
  • in a light fixture
  • on the building roof
  • attached to the American flag outside (funny, but no)
When do new clues come out?

Check this story link every morning at 6:55 am for a new clue starting tomorrow, January 21.

Each clue will become more specific so timing is important.

When can I look for the medallion?

You can look before or after school.

Do not leave study hall, PAWS, lunch, or class to look for the medallion. Seriously. Don’t do it

What do I do when I find it?

Bring the medallion to the main office where they will call the clue writer for verification and to claim the prize.

An announcement will be made when the medallion is found.

Why are the clues so hard?
