As Halloween approaches, thoughts of costumes and candy dwell in the minds of EHS students. However, finding the time or money to purchase a Halloween costume poses a challenge. Nonetheless, an array of imaginative disguises can be assembled by oneself, as listed below.

1. Smarty Pants – Tape Smarties candies to a simple pair of pants.

2. Identity Theft – Stick name tags on a normal outfit. Remember to write random names on the name tags or else it wouldn’t be identity theft.

3. The Second Amendment – Tie a teddy bear around each arm, to achieve the “right to bear arms.”

4. When Life Gives You Lemons – Wear a shirt with the word “life” printed on the front. Then, carry an assortment of lemons with you and pass them out to your friends.

5. Damien from Mean Girls – Wear a blue hoodie, black sunglasses, and carry a sign saying, “She doesn’t even go here!”

6. Instagram Selfie – Take a screenshot of an Instagram picture and print out a large-scale version. Cut out the picture in the middle and smile! Full tutorial here – http://miss-kris.com/2013/10/instaglam-diy-selfie-halloween-costume/

7. Bat – Use this tutorial (http://www.evilmadscientist.com/2006/how-to-build-a-better-bat-costume/) to construct a bat costume out of an old umbrella.

8. Wednesday Addams – Wear a black dress and a white collar. Then put on a long black-haired wig (if needed) and create two braids.

9. Sim – Wear a normal outfit and a headband with a green diamond sticking up from it. Full tutorial on how to construct the diamond here – www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dgq-XsTTA_A

10. Where’s Waldo? – Wear a red and white striped shirt and hat and a pair of round glasses. Read the rest here –http://inhabitat.com/diy-how-to-make-a-waldo-costume-for-halloween/
