1. What do you teach at EHS?

English! Mostly 10th grade.

2. What movies are your favorites?

The Graduate & Midnight in Paris. And, of course, Dead Poet’s Society. Also Star Wars. And the new James Bond movies.

3. What books are your favorites?

Recently I’ve been really into WWII memoirs. If I weren’t an English teacher, I’d be a social studies teacher. I also love poetry, in particular dead Irish poets. I know, I’m so old-fashioned.

4. What music do you prefer?

I spend a lot of time listening to the Current and Radio K. We are lucky to have such phenomenal radio stations and such a thriving music scene here in the Twin Cities. One of my favorite things to do is see live music. I couldn’t live without it.

5. What are your hobbies outside of school?

Going on bike rides, playing euchre, seeing live music, having long and loud conversations with friends, watching British TV shows with my husband Dave, and traveling the world as much as I can.

6. What is your favorite part about teaching at EHS?

The fact that I laugh every day.

7. What career did you want to pursue as a child?

Fashion design. And acting.

8. What is something you remember about your childhood?

 I remember hating 4th grade.

9. Which teachers do you consider to be close friends?

I consider all teachers at EHS my friends.

10. What is a fun fact about yourself?

I reely enjoy misspelling werds for fun. And mashed potatoes.
