On November 4th and 5th, students brought coats to school for Eagan High School’s second coat drive. “We ask[ed] that the coats be either new or gently used,” explains Mr. Wirsbinski the Interact Advisor.

This is the second year that the Interact Club has participated in the Coat Drive. The coats will go to a non-profit organization called the Marie Sandvik center located in Saint Paul. This organization is supported solely by churches and private donations.

This year the goal was 200 coats. “Last year our goal was 200 coats but we only got 125, so we didn’t quite make it,” says Mr. Wirsbinski. However, this year Eagan well exceeded the goal. Each and every coat will be greatly appreciated by someone who needs it.
