“Captain Marvel” dominates theaters while celebrating women

Marvel Studios has done it again with it’s latest film, Captain Marvel. The movie about a Kree warrior stranded on Earth with her race’s enemies, the Skrulls, was released on March 8, also known as International Women’s Day.

The film follows the story of Vers (Brie Larson), a Kree warrior with strange powers and even stranger amnesia. When captured by the Kree’s shape-shifting enemies, the Skrulls, Vers escapes to Earth. It is there that Vers learns the truth about the Kree, the Skrulls, and herself.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will thoroughly enjoy this breathtaking adventure with familiar faces from S.H.E.I.L.D. and new characters from other parts of the galaxy. Women in the theater will especially love Marvel’s first movie with a female lead and female director. Packed with backstory, laughs, and action, Captain Marvel is a must-see. Don’t forget to stay in your seat until the end of the credits for another look at the aftermath of Avengers: Infinity War!

Oh, and a word of advice: don’t trust the cat!
